Navigating in Internet it is possible to make interesting discoveries. More, much more interesting than what was thought humanly possible. This concept is well shown by the English word "serendipity". If someone still does not think possible to discover through Internet important unsuspected facts, he should go on reading.

Did you know that, with relatively cheap factories it would be possible to double the profit of an electricity plant? Just think: it is possible to produce the same quantity of electricity with half the fuel! Not only half the fuel but also half the pollution comparing with today’s electricity plants. But it is not all: other large savings can be added to these. If the governments would put in practice the politics here summarised, it would be possible to cut short in a substantial quantity the extraction and the use of hydrocarbons, and reduce in the same quantity the causes of the greenhouse effect.

All this without sacrifices, higher costs and higher taxes but on the contrary with the further advantage of half the production cost. You do not believe this? But it is true! With the "advanced gas turbine" the profit of an electricity plant working with methane gas passes from 30-35% to 60%, and according to the Union of the Concerned Scientist, the profit of 70% is at hand.

The same authoritative group of scientist, well-known in the USA, and using the results of the researches of the main government agencies, in their proposal for a new energy politics (Energy Innovation: a Prosperous Path to a Clean Environment ) describes with the following words the:

The Union of Concerned Scientist talk of an already available profit of 50 % while I talked of 60 %, but it is not a printing mistake.
Already today firms selling this equipment guarantee a reward of 60 %. It is possible to verify this in the official bulletins of the Swiss firm ABB (head of a firm group), making public the agreements with various countries for the supply of these plants. We also know the costs: for a 775 Megawatt plant given to Argentina, the cost is 235 millions dollars, and the profit is "about 58 %". In a plant very much similar sold to South Korea, the profit is 60 %.

The cost of this equipment is very low compared to the cost of the necessary fuels to make them work. It will be possible to produce the same quantity of electric energy with half the fuel, half the carbon dioxide wasted in the environment and half the thermic pollution of the past, but also half the provision costs.

Question: what about Italy?
Answer: Probably we are still working with solar pans. We never hear anything on TV or in the newspapers about the new high power electric plants.

What about Internet?
I could not find ENEL site (Italian National Electric Agency). I searched through the main searching engines but it seems that it does not exist (is this possible??). But I found many firms working as ENEL partners or working for ENEL itself, although I found nothing of ENEL politics or about new types of advanced plants.

It is possible that, as usual, we are doing nothing although we import almost all the fuels that we need.
